In this book, we concretely see the grace of God in human activity in Gaul and then in France. The culture, the temperament of the people, its institutions, the reform, the period of the Desert (Persecutions of Protestants in the Cévennes), its revolution, the 19th century, everything is treated from the angle of the providential grace of God.
